Installation of a state of the art High Speed Wire Drawing Machine.
In February 2017, Lanka SSL started an esteem project of Installation of KOCH brand high speed German Wire Drawing Machine and installation of Industrial UPS, successfully completed within the deadline of the project, disbursing the real bottle neck for the increase of production capacity of Wire Drawing.
Steel Wire Association
Lanka Special Steel Ltd as a market leader in Steel wire products in Sri Lanka initiated to establish the Steel wire Association with the participation of almost all the leading steel wire mesh manufacturers in the Country . The Association was formed to counter unfair and unethical business practices and to create a level playing field for all the players by taking necessary actions jointly.
National Convention on Quality and Productivity 2017
Lanka SSL team “Awanetha”- the Quality Control Circle, has been adjudged Gold Award Winners in the National Convention on Quality and Productivity 2017. GOLD award presented by the His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka Mr Maithreepala Sirisena in an event organized by Sri Lanka Association for Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP) on 14thJune’2017 .
Higher Commitment towards Occupational Health & Safety
Lanka SSL is highly committed towards their Employees’ Occupational Health & Safety. Closely monitoring and regularly reviewing the Company Emergency Response Plan, annually reorganizing the Fire Team and Rescue Team, periodically providing specific trainings to increase the quality, efficiency and the effectiveness of them. .
Keep It Clean & Keep It Green
Lanka Special Steels Limited conducted a Tree planation campaign on 15th Nov’17, as an appreciable concept and suggestion of COO. Contributing towards the Green Concept it was highly discussed by various speakers shearing remarkable inclinations.
